March 30, 2012 Kaspersky Lab announces the release of Critical Fix 2 (version 6.0.4.1611) for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Servers MP4 (version 6.0.4.1424). 

Critical Fix 2 is integrated into Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Servers MP4 installation package.

Changes in the version 6.0.4.1611 (compared with 6.0.4.1424):


Fixed issues

  • The build includes all bugfixes from public patches D, and F.
  • Fixed the error related to the application crash after logging out of the operating system and then logging back in again.
  • Fixed the error related to the application crash occurring while exiting from it.
  • Fixed the error related to the functioning of default exclusions from the protection scope in the application version for file servers.
  • Fixed the error causing incorrect time display in the header of the mail message generated by the application (daylight saving time is now taken into account).
  • Fixed the error related to the operating system crash and BSOD because of the rdbss.sys driver.
  • Addressed the problem related to configuring via a policy of Kaspersky Administration Kit how the computer protection statuses are displayed in the local interface.
  • Fixed the error related to failure to remove infected archives from the list of unprocessed objects in case when their processing is initiated via  Kaspersky Administration Kit.
  • Fixed the error related to the failure to display the application activity statistics on the side of Kaspersky Administration Kit for French localization of the management plug-in for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 MP4.
  • Addressed the problem related to the decrease of updates download speed after the application keeps running for a while.
  • Fixed the error related to the non-functional option to Run missed tasks in certain types of task schedule.
  • Fixed the error related to addition of empty records to the Windows® event log occurring in certain situations.
  • Arrangement of interface elements in the application windows has been corrected for some localizations.
  • Addressed the problem related to a temporary operating system freeze after switching from LAN to Wi-Fi LAN while Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 MP4 is running.
  • Fixed the error related to addition of multiple records about modification of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 MP4 settings to the event log of Kaspersky Administration Kit done by the klnagent service.
  • Fixed incorrect display of the computer protection statuses in the local interface when the policy of Kaspersky Administration Kit is used to disable protection.
  • Fixed the error related to a freeze of the operating system while running an update task.
  • Fixed the error related to the failure to open help from some windows of the management plug-in for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 MP4 via Kaspersky Administration Kit.

Improvements

  • The release includes a new anti-virus database and updated INI files to identify incompatible products.
  • Processor  load caused by the avp.exe service process has been decreased.

Installation methods

Critical Fix 2 can be used for initial installation of the application, as well as for upgrading any previous versions of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Servers. Critical Fix 2 can be installed either locally or in a centralized manner (using Kaspersky Administration Kit).
